With the increased number of construction activities happening on or around Metrolinx railways, more people than ever are exposed to the hazards and risks of working in a railway environment. All individuals working on our rail network must be trained on how to safely work and operate in this environment before they begin work. A&B Rail Services Ltd. is committed to offering the highest quality training for all the industry needs.

The Metrolinx GEI Program is Required by
Every CROR-qualified Employee and Metrolinx designated contractor engaged in flagging services, or the inspection, maintenance or construction of track, roadway, signals, bridges, and other rail corridor structures and infrastructure, must understand and follow these instructions.
Course Overview
A&B Rail Services Ltd. is committed to helping you meet your training needs while facilitating the 1-Day Metrolinx GEI course.
- Metrolinx GEI—1 day: This theory-based course covers all applicable Metrolinx instructions for being compliant as a Canadian Railway Operating Rules-qualified employee working in and around Metrolinx-owned and operated territory. After successful completion of this course, you will receive a certificate of training.
- Pre-requisites required:
- Metrolinx Personal Track Safety (PTS) 1-day course
- CN CROR Rules provided by a CN accredited provider
As part of the Metrolinx General Engineering Instructions course, you will be required to:
- Read and acknowledge the terms and conditions.
- Attend the registered training session.
- Actively participate during the training session (1-day / 8-hour course).
- Complete a Knowledge Assessment at the end of the course days.
